Joe Morin is a talented drummer and Music Instructor at Musicville. He has inspired and guided diverse, gifted students of all ages in private and group music lessons for nearly 20 years. Having traversed the globe, Joe loves to share his musical expertise and experience.
Hailing from New York and currently residing in Nashville, TN. Joe pursued his passion for music by majoring in music education at ORU. He has studied under world-renowned teachers like Dom Famularo, Chester Thompson, Frank Mediate, and Pete Abbott.
His musical journey took an exciting turn when his band, Edison Glass, inked a deal with EMI, resulting in the release of two records and extensive tours across the continental US. His diverse musical collaborations include artists such as Phil Joel, Austin Plaine, Paper Route, The Working Title, Violents, Monica Martin, and more. Currently, Joe is an integral part of the indie rock band, Iron Range.
Teaching drum set, snare drum, technique, groove, soloing, sight reading and music theory Joe has prepared students globally for music exams, auditions, studio sessions and performances. Joe is welcoming all ages, styles and levels of ability. Whether or not you are a beginner or an intermediate player working on technique, reading and coordination or if you are advanced player hoping to refine your craft, explore new styles and ideas while reimagining your playing, all are welcome!
Joe believes that music is a universal form of expression and anyone can learn to play. “Everyone should learn to express themselves through music. And everyone CAN learn drums. It’s all about having fun. If you apply yourself diligently, and let the music change you, you will grow in ways you could never expect. This whole process will be your art.”
