Leah Allers is a Voice Instructor at Musicville. She was born in Boston, and raised in Greece, Toronto, Tokyo and Los Angeles by her singer/artist mother and her filmmaker/playwright father. She is an L.A. and Nashville-based singer, actor, and voiceover artist. Leah is a Lyric Soprano/High Belter with a 4-octave range, and has been working professionally as a singer and actor for over 20 years.
BROADWAY/THEATRE: Leah starred as “Amneris”, in the U.S. National tour of Disney’s Broadway musical, Aida, followed by two international tours of Aida. She has performed numerous times at the Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles, including The Little Mermaid Live, with Lea Michele and John Stamos, Beauty and the Beast Live with Zoe Deschanel, The Little Mermaid Live with Sara Bareilles, and Willy Wonka Live with Weird Al Yankovich. Regional theatre includes: Ragtime, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hunchback of Notredame, Secret Garden, and a 6-month tour of Importance of Being Earnest, as “Gwendolyn Fairfax”.
On-camera TV work includes: Criminal Minds, Days of Our Lives, HBO's Hung, Betrayed, and Evil Things. Session Singing for TV includes: ABC’s Once Upon a Time, with Ginnifer Goodwin, ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live! with Queen Latifa, and ABC Family TV movie, Lovestruck, with Jane Seymour.
Leah sings 1st Soprano, in the Brentwood Baptist Choir (TN), and in the Bel Air Church Choir (CA), and has performed 2nd Soprano with the Los Robles Master Chorale (CA), at the Dorothy Chandler, and other notable venues across Southern California.
The thing Leah loves most about teaching Voice is watching her students grow in their confidence and ability. She believes technique is the foundation of every great artist and with strong technique every voice can soar!
