🎸What We Teach

    In beginner bass lessons, you typically learn the fundamental aspects of playing the bass guitar. This includes:

    1. Instrument Familiarity: Understand the different parts of the bass guitar, how to hold it, and get comfortable with its physical aspects.

    2. Basic Technique: Learn proper hand positioning, finger exercises, and plucking techniques (using fingers or a pick).

    3. Note Recognition: Grasp the names and locations of notes on the fretboard, and understand basic music theory relevant to the bass.

    4. Rhythm and Timing: Develop a sense of rhythm, including playing along with a metronome and understanding different time signatures.

    5. Simple Basslines: Start playing basic basslines and simple songs to build your confidence and familiarity with the instrument.

    6. Introduction to Music Theory: Learn the basics of music theory applicable to bass playing, such as scales, intervals, and chords.

    7. Ear Training: Train your ear to recognize different pitches, tones, and musical patterns.

    8. Basic Song Structure: Understand the structure of songs and how bass fits into various musical genres.

    9. Introduction to Different Styles: Explore different playing styles, such as fingerstyle, slap bass, and picking, to diversify your playing skills.

    10. Maintenance and Tuning: Learn how to care for your bass guitar, including tuning and basic maintenance.

      • $160 per month for 30 minute lesson
      • $320 per month for 60 minute lesson
      • Weekly lessons at Musicville
      • Based on 46 lessons in a calendar year

      Registration Fee

      Upon enrollment for bass lessons, a $40 registration fee is required to secure the student's lesson date, time, and teachers.

      Prior to the student's first official lesson, the first month's tuition payment is due. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
