MEET GINA MERCURIO

“Gina became a teacher to provide a safe and fun learning space for future musicians.”

Gina is a violinist who graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Music Education. She is in her second year as the Orchestra Director at a middle school in the MNPS district. Gina’s primary instrument is Violin, which she has been playing for over 15 years. She has taught lessons for over 10 years, working with students of all ages and skill levels in every genre, from classical, to fiddle, to pop and anything in between. In addition to teaching violin at all levels, Gina also teaches beginner viola, intermediate viola, beginner cello, and beginner bass.

When Gina isn’t teaching, she enjoys playing violin around town in orchestras, sessions, pit orchestras, and anywhere else she can! Music is her passion just as much as teaching so she loves any opportunity she gets to perform.

Gina became a teacher to provide a safe and fun learning space for future musicians. Her goal is to help her students be lifelong lovers and supporters of all kinds of music, in addition to loving their instruments!
