MEET GINA MERCURIO

“Gina became a teacher to provide a safe and fun learning space for future musicians.”

Gina Mercurio is a violin, viola, cello and beginner bass instructor at Musicville. Gina graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Music Education and is currently getting her Masters in Music Education (graduating December 2025). In addition to her continued education, Gina is the 5th and 6th grade Orchestra Director at Harpeth Hall School. Previously she served as the Orchestra Director at a middle school in the MNPS district.

Gina’s primary instrument is Violin, which she has been playing for over 15 years. She has taught lessons for over 10 years, working with students of all ages and skill levels in every genre, from classical, to fiddle, to pop and anything in between. In addition to teaching violin at all levels, Gina also teaches beginner viola, intermediate viola, beginner cello, and beginner bass.

When Gina isn’t teaching, she enjoys playing violin around town in orchestras, sessions, pit orchestras, and anywhere else she can! Music is her passion just as much as teaching so she loves any opportunity she gets to perform.

Gina became a teacher to provide a safe and fun learning space for future musicians. Her goal is to help her students be lifelong lovers and supporters of all kinds of music, in addition to loving their instruments!
